This guide explains how to reset a user’s two‑factor authentication (2FA) within the Omnivers platform.
Steps
Go to Users
From your Omnivers account dashboard, navigate to the Users section.
2. Search for the User
Use the search bar to locate the user whose 2FA you want to reset
3. Open User Options
On the Users page, click the dropdown menu next to the selected user.
4. Reset 2FA
From the dropdown options, select Reset 2FA.
The user’s two‑factor authentication will be reset, and they will be prompted to reconfigure their 2FA settings the next time they log in.
Important Notes
Resetting 2FA should only be performed when a user is unable to access their account due to authentication issues.
Always confirm the request with the user before proceeding.
After the reset, when the user logs back in, the system will automatically display step‑by‑step instructions on how to set up their 2FA again. This ensures account security is maintained and the user can regain full access.
